The primary purpose of this position is to plan menu, order food, serve meals and maintain kitchen sanitation for the learning center.

Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities

Dietary Functions

  1. Plan menu and order food, ensuring proper inventory
  2. Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures. Prepare food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures.
  3. Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed. Assist in checking diet trays before distribution. Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
  4. Serve meals at appropriate temperature and ensure meals are palatable and appetizing.
  5. Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed
  6. Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner. Stock food and supplies.
  7. Prepare foods for the next meal.
  8. Inventory and stock cooking supplies and food.
